International School Suva (ISS) offers a treasure trove of after-school activities throughout the school year. These activities provide students the opportunity to explore, create, and grow outside of their academic pursuits. Whether your child has a passion for the arts, a love for sports, or a desire to engage in community service, our diverse range of activities caters for a wide array of interests and ambitions.
There are two fun-filled activity seasons each year which run over two terms or one complete semester. The seasons run from weeks three-to-eight each of the four terms. Activities run from 14:30 to 15:30 promptly. There is a sign-up process for bookings at the start of each semester. For families who join us mid-semester we are able to onboard students directly into activities.
Our dedicated faculty are committed to guiding students on their extracurricular journey. With their expertise and enthusiasm, they inspire a love for learning and personal growth, encouraging students to set ambitious goals and reach new heights. The range of activities offered at ISS have included: Gardening Club, Lego Club, Book Club, Puzzle Club, DIY Club, Chess Club, Fencing Club, Watercolor Painting Club, and Magazine (Yearbook) Club.
We also invite external (expert and vetted) providers into school to offer clubs for our students up to and including thirteen year olds. The clubs change each semester but a selection we have include, Zumba, Ballet, Parkour, Taekwondo, Dance, Judo, Basketball, Football, Rugby, and traditional Fire Stick & Poi. Please note there are additional fees for these additional external activities.
Beyond our after-school clubs, ISS boasts an array of sports teams that train regularly and participate successfully in competitive leagues, competitions, and championships. Students can compete in athletics, volleyball, badminton, swimming, futsal, tag rugby, netball, soccer, and basketball which are available at various year levels ISS also runs sport camps during the term and semester holidays depending on the interest of families and availability of coaches.
