The governance arrangements of the PIDF include the Conference, the Leaders’ Summit, the Member’s Representative Council, the National/Local Sustainable Development Boards and the Secretariat.

I. The Conference meets every two years and is the apex decision-making body of the PIDF, providing policy guidance and taking decisions on key issues as they arise. It comprises of members of the Leader’s Summit and Member’s Representative Council.

II. The Leaders’ Summit meets every year, provides policy guidance and performs any other duties assigned to it by the Conference. The Member’s Representative Council comprises of three members from each National/Local Sustainable Development Board, meets twice a year and implements the decisions made at the Conference and the Summit.

III. The National/Local Sustainable Development Boards are boards set up within each PIDF Member Country and coordinates the implementation of the decisions of the PIDF at the national/local level and reports back to the Council.

IV. The PIDF Charter is currently being reviewed based on the outcomes of the PIDF Leaders’ Summit in 2019 which proposes for a more leaner governance structure.
