Ministry Awarded With The Civil Service Customer Service Excellence Award For Innovation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today participated in the Civil Service Day celebrations which began with a march and float procession in the streets of Suva, followed by an official program held at the Albert Park.

The first of such national program witnessed in Fiji was officiated by the Prime Minister and Minister for Civil Service, The Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Rabuka thanked all the civil servants for their unwavering commitment to service, their sacrifices and contributions towards nation building. He also spelt out the Government’s expectations on civil servants and what it means for the nation and the people that we serve.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the important role played our civil servants in their call of duty to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of the Government’s policy goals for a better quality of life for our people, for national development and prosperity.

The Prime Minister encouraged civil servants to continue serving our nation to the best of their abilities. Further, he reaffirmed the Government’s continued efforts to reform the service, streamline processes and improve services.

Prime Minister said that the celebrations gives us the opportunity to review ourselves and renew our commitment to better serve the people Fiji.
A major highlight today’s celebration was also the presentation of Customer Service Awards to recognise the outstanding achievements of the various ministries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs team is pleased to be awarded with the Customer Service Excellence Award for Innovation at the Civil Service Day 2024 Celebrations commemorated today at the Albert Park in Suva.

At the celebrations today, the school students had the opportunity to access firsthand information regarding government services through the information and awareness booths displayed by the government ministries and departments.

As part of the week-long celebration, the Civil Service Medals (CSM) investiture ceremonies were held to honor civil servants who have gone above and beyond the call of duty.

The celebrations commenced with the RoC market event to support SMEs, and included the tree-planting and clean-up campaign as well as the wellness programme on Wednesday.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Team is pleased to be part of this week’s celebrations, a commendable initiative to recognize civil servants and their contributions towards the development of our nation.

The Civil Service Day celebrations held earlier this week provided an opportunity for Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs Team to create awareness and disseminate information regarding the Ministry’s services to the school students and guests present at the Albert Park in Suva.

Government Ministries and Departments displayed various information on their services and programs via the information booths and awareness sessions. It was a great platform to raise awareness and share information on the government services and programs.
